Rain soaked and tired 4/16/11 6pm- 4/17/11 9:30am

After getting back from the Remember Me Meet-up, I hooked up with Eryka. We were going to be roomies. She's from canada. We had never met, only talked online. Are we crazy? Maybe a little.. but it worked out. She's great!

There was a WFE party to go to, so we got all gussied up to attend. Cindy met up with us and we went to dinner at a local deli. While there Cindy received a text that a line was forming for the premiere. We finished eating and rushed right over.
There were only a handful of people in line. I really wanted to go to the party.. so did Eryka. Cindy wanted to stay in line. She held or sopts so we could go check out the party-


We met Mark Povinelli (who plays Walter/Kinko) and got his autograph. He was a real sweetheart-


We met the girls from the WFE Fan site and Facebook page- great bunch of gals.
Sara Gruen was suppose to be there along with the movie's producer... but... we got a Text from Cindy- "Come Right Now!"
So we did... and there was a line- We pushed our way in and met up with Cindy just before it was too late and the barricades came up.

I was wearing peep-toe heels and dress pants. It was pouring. It was cold... and after standing there for an hour or more with soaked feet, I got up the nerve to ask if I could go change-
Thank God for Carlos or Hot Guy In A Wet Suit, as we affectionately called him-

I was able to change. It rained and thundered and lighteninged and the wind blew... and I wanted to give up, but my girls convinced me to stay. They weren't giving up.
Sara Gruen came out and visited us. She gave out autograph...

We were eventually relocated to the opposite side of the street. We were also allowed to leave for short incriments of thime to get warm, pee, or change.
Mostly though we just sat at around miserable, and looking like this-

We did got pizza delivered to us and water, courtesy of Rob and Reese (Fox I'm sure)
And Sara sent us Donuts and coffee in the morning-

We were told we were in for the long hall and they would distribute wrist bands at 9am. Here's everybody around 8:30-

We got our wristbands at exactly 9am-

And were told we could leave and come back at 3.

The Remember Me Meet-Up- NY, 4/16/2011

Early morning rise for a Remember Me meet-up. Found a post on teh WFE site about meeting up tp tour all the sites from the movie Remember Me-

We met at the Pearl Street Diner-


Where I met Cindy!! The woman behind thte madness (more on her later)

Where I had a bialy.
(Aiden asked for a bialy from his bed in the movie)


Which is basically a bagel... *shrugs*

And sat my ass in the same seat as Rob... yes my ass touched his (well, sort of... maybe)


We moved on to the red cube-
(where tyler walked and talked on his cell to his fateher, while pushing his bike)

An employee there showed us the spot where they filmed teh scene with Tyler and Aiden. He said they got there at 4am and it was really long and really boring. They had to change the books around to match the scene (it was history) and that the same scene was filmed over and over again- the one where Tyler falls off the ladder.

Found this book from the movie and bought it. It comes into play (in a big way!) later.

It was cold, windy and raining. It was getting bad... but three of us perservered to Central Park. Because what's a Remember Me tour without seeing the Alice in Wonderland statue?
Me, Cindy, and Mandy-

HTat statue was slippery, but I'd be damned if I wasn't getting up there. THe wet butt was worth it. I found the little nothch in the rabbits head where I am pretty damn sure Rob rubbed during this scene in the movie-

And of course I had to walk the benches like Caroline-

We grabbed a cab back to our hotels. Cindy and I hung out the rest of the entire trip- AND she lives close by me here in Florida. We went and saw WFE together. We saw Mandy again at the premiere.
