Day1- Friday April 15th
I arrived at JFK airport at 2:35pm. I noticed the chill immediately as I stepped off the plane. It was cold! I took the Super Shuttle to the hotel... 2 1/2 hours, and one frightening and insane ride later, I was at my hotel. Did I mention the driver dropped me at the corner? Me- first time in NY and no idea where I was going. Needless to say, he did not get a tip.
The Dream Hotel is a beautiful place. There is a large aquarium right in the center of the lobby-
)I am the blonde, the other girl is Eryka who I meet later.)
My room is small, but nice. I am extremely excited and ready to go out. So... I change and hit the sidewalk.
The first thing I do- I grab a piece of New York Pizza (hey I was hungry!)
Okay... so... I don't get it. It tastes just like Sbarro's at the mall. I'm a little disappointed.
Down the street checking the sites- David Letterman's studio was my first -
Then I see a sign for Broadway. I get out my trusty New York map to see what's around and head for Radio City Music Hall-
Then I run into NBC Studios and there's an observation Deck. Of course I go!! It's in Rockefeller Center. Did you know that Rockefeller Center is a giant undeerground mall? Me neither...

When I try to exit the Center, I get lost... I couldn;t figure how the hell to get out of there! I made it though, only to get lost in the streets of NY. I walked round and round, searching for St. Patrick's Cathedral. I foudnd Rockefeller's Ice Skating Rink. Cool-

Inside is gorgeous, but I feel weird. Like I'm intruding... so I don't stay long.
It's getting dark out now.. and there is only one plae in New York I want to see in the dark- Times Square. I stride on, unafraid, not nervous, secure in my surroundings. I mean, I expected it to be scary., I was in NYC! But it wasn't. ANd Time's Square! Oh my-
So many people...
I stopped at the Hard Rock Cafe to get a sweatshirt and bought a hoodie. It was $48. Not bad... I love that jacket.
I went inside Toys R Us and saw the giant ferris wheel.
But my energy is waning and I'm exhausted... time to go back to the hotel. It's 9:00! I'm starving, so I stop at a deli to set a sandwich and stuff..
Back at the hotel I relax, eat, regain some energy. It's Friday night in NY! I need to go out. I am alone, so I just visit the hotel's bars. Upstairs is a place called The Ava Lounge. There's a DJ and a abr. I order a Captain and diet- $11.00!!! Wow.. okay, maybe just one.
I met a man... what was his name again? He was a tall, dark skined, dark eyed, bald, fine lookin man. I thought about it.. I mean I was in NYC! But I didn't an he didn't. He left to go hang out with a friend and I went up to my room. To sleep!
Damn it was hot. I tossed and turned and tried to get comfy, but I was burning up. Was the bed heated?
